Our ability to attract and develop management and professional talent for the many functions of Lester Building Systems is what makes us the market leader.  Lester Building Systems has an exciting Design Engineer (E.I.T.) opportunity in our Lester Prairie office.

    Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for developing pre-engineered post-frame building designs that meet the unique requirements of our customers for farm, livestock, equine, hobby and commercial purposes.  The incumbent works closely with a cohesive team of resources from project sale through the construction phase.  

    • Develop and implement design procedures and methods.
    • Create building designs in accordance with industry standards, state and local building and zoning codes.
    • Resource for design and code concerns.
    • Provides product technical assistance internally and in the field.
    • Performs custom quoting, pricing assistance and training to sales. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a structural emphasis.
    • Post-frame construction knowledge is a plus.
    • Familiarity with finite element structural analysis and design software.
    • Proficient with AutoCAD.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Registered Professional Engineer a plus or the ability to pass the Professional Exam when the eligibility requirements have been satisfied.
    • Previous experience with an ERP system is a plus.
