    Lester Building Systems has an exciting Customer Support Specialist opportunity in our Charleston office.


    This position is the primary contact for one of Lester’s largest customers.  The Customer Support Specialist will verify project pricing, coordinate deliveries, answer customer questions, and communicate effectively with all.  The ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service is required.


    Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

    • The Customer Support Specialist will take calls regarding questions on delivery schedule, availability of parts, proper pricing methods, and contents of pricing structures.
    • Maintain the best interests of both the Customer and Lester. Initiate two-way communication and feedback with the Customer so both Lester and the Customer can participate in order process improvement.
    • Order entry including order definition, price verification, and order acknowledgement.
    • Review project pricing to ensure required margins are maintained when project requirements deviate from standard product.
    • Coordinate with Order Management, Manufacturing, and Delivery to meet customer requirements.
    • Maintain information flow internally and externally so all parties are informed of status of all deliverables.
    • Participate in production meetings to provide feedback on customer requirements and recommendations.
    • Manage and ensure customer satisfaction in area of on-time delivery and service.


    • Associate degree in business or related field preferred.
    • 2 years of work-related experience with account management or customer service.
    • Previous experience managing a large account.
    • Pricing and estimating experience is a plus.
    • Willingness to learn product structures and understand how to manipulate product structure and get to pricing.
    • Experience in construction and/or animal confinement is a plus.
    • Good computer skills.
    • Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
    • Detail Oriented.
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
